Tis the Season

This is probably hands down my favorite season of the year!  All the leaves have finished changing colors now, but all growing up, Michigan colors each fall had my mom say, "Would you look at the trees!"  Even though the colors here in Kansas City don't compare much to Michigan, I still love this time of year.  And who doesn't like pumpkin pie!?

I was able to go home for just a few days as my sister was getting married, unfortunately most of the fall colors had already come and gone, but I did however get some dang good pictures of my sis and her new husband.

As a photographer who is still in the process of building up a variety of gear, sometimes you have to get creative with what you have.  My workhorse lens right now, 50mm Nikkor 1.8  Only a $130 lens, but it's worth every penny!  I took these pics with only my 50mm.  Enjoy.

Silhouette

Did an engagement session last night in a small town north of Kansas City.  I will say that just one of the reasons I do love KC is their AMAZING sunsets!  Here is a couple silhouette shots I got that almost made me cry!

It's been fun this past summer to continue to get better at different types of lighting.  I want to continue to improve in  my photography skills, its been a fun journey =]

Prime Lenses

I've recently been won over in my selection of lens use by "primes," that is, non zoom lenses.  Giving incredibly clear images.  They definitely take some getting used to as it takes quite a bit more work on my part to get the picture I'm desiring.  For sure worth the extra work of moving around and getting the shots I want.  Here's a few pics I took with a couple lenses I rented for a wedding this week.  Looooove the 85mm!  So nice!

Official Isaac Mark Blog

So I've finally given in and created a blog specifically for sharing all different sorts of Photography adventures that occur throughout all different locations and environments.  I'm not such an avid blogger, so I'll do my best to share as I finish each photo opportunity.  But who knows what will happen =)

P.S. We'll start with a lovely picture of myself, taken by a good friend of mine.
